Hello! I have some more exciting news to report, I am officially army crawling on the floor! As you can see from my video below, army crawling on the tile is pretty easy for me :) Even more exciting, yesterday during Physical Therapy, I started crawling on the CARPET! This takes an incredible amount of upper body strength, especially because I haven't quite figured out how to get my legs coordinated to help me. Exactly 14 days after the introduction of my ramp, I am now moving forward, sideways, and in circles. Today, I finally decided that I was not waiting for Mom and Grandma to take me to the closet door, so I rolled twice and then crawled the rest of the way. I'm a pretty big deal, not going to lie! So...what's next? Getting my legs to come along for the ride. My left leg is starting to get the clue, but my right leg is being stubborn, so we are really going to work on that. However, yesterday I also tried to pull myself up on the bookshelf, so my parents think things are moving along. In fact, they may hold me back a bit until I have a perfect cross crawling pattern mastered--according to Glenn Doman's studies, not establishing perfect crawling form can affect many things, like the ability to spell well! WHAT?? Crazy, I know!
This weekend one of my girlfriends, Layne, came to visit me!! She has been gone for several weeks training at her new job and I missed her. It was great catching up and showing her all of my new tricks!
Tomorrow I have to get up early and take Grandma Jane to the airport, it's very sad. Luckily she was here the past 10 days because Mom screwed up her back real bad and was on medication and Dad's been out of town. Now Grandma needs to go to the chiropractor :) I can't wait to see her again in November. Thanks to everyone your support the past few weeks, I appreciate it!
