Let the Work Begin!

Hello!  Mom and Dad let me take a break from my NACD program to write you a quick update (man, I tell you, they are slave drivers!).  Things have been going well, of the 20+ activities that I am scheduled to complete each day (some of them 8 times per day), I am only resistant to three of them.  We're working on variations that are more fun with my NACD Coach, Sara.  Overall the program is a lot of work, and very repetitive, so Mom's enthusiasm has to be high for me to pay attention.  She said there is a reason she was never a cheerleader (no offense to the ex-cheerleaders out there), but she is really trying.  We are keeping data on my baseline and any improvements I make over the next few months (my reevaluation will be on April 4th), so hopefully we see progress.

On Monday I went to the Pediatrician for my 18 month well-check...I am in the 90% for height and the 95% for weight, and that is for my chronological age (we stopped adjusting for prematurity when I was a year old because I am so big).  My parents are pleased with these numbers, however, my head didn't grow at all, so I'm still in the 5% for that measurement.  Dr. Kelly isn't too worried, and neither are my parents because they tell me 62 times a day how smart I am.  I'm getting better, my ears don't hurt anymore, but my teeth sure do.  In the last 6 weeks I have gotten 4 molars and I HATE teething.

As for new tricks, well, I have one this week...standing up and opening doors (check out my video below).  Mom says that means another trip to Target to get door knob protectors!  One day my parents and I were playing "knock-knock" (it's a game where I go in a room, close the door, and they knock before coming in)...I was getting tired of how long it was taking them to knock so I just stood up, opened the door myself and said "Hi!"  Dad said "We are in trouble now" and I thought "You have no idea!"

Also, I have been climbing stairs like a pro, it's real fun...I can even come down on my belly :)

Well, I better run, hope you have a great week.
